I'm Hugo. A Registered Counsellor in Perth, Australia

A registered counsellor, coach, father, husband & mindful optimist devoted to helping you become and stay on the best version of yourself.

Life happens, and its many chapters unfold in ways that will eventually pose challenges to how you view it and take it forward. As a life coach with an academic training in Psychology, Counselling, Coaching  and Community Development, who has lived and worked in four continents of the world, I’ve seen how much this weighs on people, all across the world.

I’ve also had the privilege of helping countless individuals – in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia – to address their doubts and challenges and to feel empowered to make clearer personal and professional decisions, and also to smoothly execute them. Indeed, having the experience of working in four culturally and linguistically diverse countries has allowed me to see that no one really has it all figured out.

We’re all troubled by the same essential doubts. And end up being conditioned by the same kind of limiting perceptions.

From Portugal to Mozambique, and from Timor-Leste to Australia, in the rural communities that I worked with, as much as in fast-paced mega-cities, I’ve seen that people everywhere are troubled by the same essential doubts, face the same dilemmas, and end up being conditioned by the same kind of limiting perceptions. Plus, being a father helps me to be especially able to relate to other parents who struggle with many of the challenges of motherhood and fatherhood.

Throughout all these experiences, I have been building a solid track record of not only helping people to re-examine what troubles them, but also to turn their emotional and intellectual potential into positive and measurable accomplishments.

Working from Perth, in Australia, offering my assistance to people from all over the world (in person and remotely via Skype or phone), I am now combining all this experience that I have acquired to help you identify and let go of perceived or self-imposed barriers, and to unleash your ability to be fulfilled, and mix it with your natural desire to be happy.

Dilemmas and doubts will keep coming like waves in the ocean. But, you keep getting up and going forward. You learn to surf and enjoy the challenge.

By using mindfulness and other effective evidence-based interventions, I can literally help you to be and stay on the best version of yourself. Discover your potential, uncover hidden tastes and talents, improve existing relationships and refine your social skills, take your performance and productivity remarkably higher, feel equipped to make better decisions, find success, and deal with transition and uncertainty in a way that your wellbeing and peace of mind are always kept as safe as any treasure should ever be.

In my view, this is what Counselling and Coaching are all about – more than beautiful concepts, they're useful tools to make your life better.
